The DHSW Ski/Snowboard Club is gearing up for Winter Season 2025. Open to all Downingtown High Schools (West, East, STEM), the club provides for all interested youth to participate and excel in a sport that can last a lifetime, fosters community, and empowers personal growth. Thanks to group rates, costs are reduced. Find all info and forms (all forms electronic) on our newly created website. Our annual Vermont trip will be to Jay Peak from March 7-10. We are staying on the mountain at the Stateside Hotel. We will leave early on Friday like last year.
As usual, daily Saturday trips will permit students to go to Elk, Camelback, and Montage. Backup dates for day trips include are Jan 25, Feb 8, and Mar 15, to account for unpredictable weather. We are also exploring the addition of another day trip to Greek Peak in New York. This trip would replace Camelback (Feb 22) or Elk (Mar 1).
Due to the nature of the club, the full cooperation of both parents and students is vital for a successful ski/snowboarding season. Please review the club’s handbook for updated policies and procedures. I look forward to an exciting winter season. Let’s conquer those mountains—WEST style—Where Every Skier/Snowboarder Triumphs.
